PERMANENT COURT TIME
Members who booked permanent court time in the previous year have until June 20 to renew their court time. Between June 21 and July 17, any A-Copi member may book a new court reservation. Payment period begins July 1st:
$250 per reservation if paid between July 1 & August 20
$275 per reservation if paid after August 21.
Booked permanent court time begins Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Only one court may be reserved per person. If a group wants two courts, another playing member of the group must reserve the second court. All Permanent Court Time must be paid for by August 20. Please submit only one check for the entire fee per court, even if the amount is split among players. Once you have a reserved court, please cancel 48 hours in advance if you are not planning to use the court or the non-member price will be charged to you unless we are able to fill the court. If you are not a member and become one now, you may book Permanent Court Time. Otherwise, you will need to book weekly. Playing at least twice per week makes a KVTA membership a good deal!

Pickleball is a simple paddle game played using a special perforated, slow-moving ball over a tennis-type net on a badminton-sized court. The ball is served underhand without bouncing it off the court and is served diagonally to the opponent’s service court. Points are scored by the serving side only and occur when the opponent faults (fails to return ball, hits ball out of bounds, etc.). The server continues to serve, alternating service courts, until server faults. The first side scoring 11 points and leading by at least a 2-point margin wins. For example, if both sides are tied at 10 points, then play continues until one side wins by 2 points.
Double Bounce Rule. Following serve, each side must make at least one groundstroke prior to volleying the ball (hitting it before it has bounced).
Non-Volley Zone. A player cannot volley a ball while standing within the non-volley zone.
